The room felt neglected, and the TV wouldn't work. There were unfinished patches on the walls, chipped furniture, broken or loose fixtures, and an exposed bathroom vent with wires hanging out that seemed unsafe. The tub was stained and peeling, too. It smelled bad throughout, and the bedding and pillows had a strong body odor. I could also clearly smell drugs being smoked in and around the property, which made the stay more uncomfortable. For the price, this level of dirt and disrepair is unacceptable. One of my worst hotel stays. I wouldn't come back, and I'd look elsewhere for somewhere safe and clean to rest.

The staff really look out for you and give great service, so I felt safe here. The rooms are spacious, clean, and accommodating, and they're remodeling the place now. It's not a five-star hotel, but the way they treat you feels five-star to me. They're working hard to improve it, and I appreciate what they're doing. I'd invest in them and stay at this nice hotel again.

The housekeeper was kind and brought me a trash can, but the office staff were horrible. This place wasn't even one star, let alone two. There were wires sticking out of the wall, and on the first night, it was nearly 40 degrees with no heat. I kept calling; first they said maintenance was coming, then said no one answered, and offered a blanket instead. I woke up sick. The next night I moved to another room with heat, but the rooms were all the same: one small pillow, one thin blanket, and thin walls. People outside screamed back and forth all night. I called Priceline and got a refund; they were investigating the health concerns about the lack of heat. I've never seen anything worse. A one-star hotel in Houston is like the Hilton, and this wasn't even close. Very sad and scary.

I reserved a room and called a few days beforehand to confirm everything was set. They told me they were sold out and couldn't do anything. What's the point of making a reservation?
