Justice at the front desk was so helpful and sweet, and we slept well in our large, comfortable room during our one-night stay on Thursday, March 24th. The one letdown was breakfast. We were told it started at 6:30 a.m., but it was still dark when we came down, and service didn’t begin until 6:45. Even then, the eggs and bacon weren’t ready. We’d been hoping to eat before getting on the road. Aside from that, it was a great stay at this Springhill.

The room itself was fairly decent, and the bathroom countertops were nice, but the renovation looks unfinished and unprofessional. There are drywall holes around fixtures, mismatched warm and daylight tones in neighboring lights, worn or oxidized hardware, and obvious paint patches. It seems old equipment was reused and corners were cut. The work could have looked much better with more care. The shower pressure was the worst I’ve experienced, maybe they’re trying to save 30% of the water, but the weak flow meant longer showers and potentially more water used. It wasn’t even enough to fill the shower head. Breakfast had the same cut-corner feel: the eggs tasted like anything but eggs, with some kind of filling I didn’t know eggs could have, and the bacon was fatty and a little strange.

The AC was so loud it woke us and our children at 3:00 AM. We had to switch it off, and then the heat made sleeping uncomfortable. We called the front desk that night but were told the hotel was sold out and there was no room to move us to. Maintenance came the next day and confirmed the unit was old and the motor caused the noise, but offered no fix. We spent both nights with the AC off just to get some rest. Our room also wasn’t serviced during the stay, and the hotel offered no flexibility or support with these problems. We paid a high rate because of a tournament and expected more comfort and service. It was a very frustrating trip, especially with children.

The food at breakfast was delicious, and staff were wiping down surfaces as they worked. My room was clean, and the hospitality team clearly takes pride in what they do. After I bought more snacks than I expected, the front desk employee walked me to the elevator and selected my floor for me. He didn’t have to do that. I stayed five nights, and the service was impeccable from arrival to checkout. The hotel has a welcoming culture throughout. A1 service.
