Motel 6 Tallahassee, FL – North Monroe

The Motel 6 on Lakeshore Drive was easy to get to and in a convenient spot. The manager and staff were friendly and professional, and they consistently provided a clean, comfortable room with what I needed for a good night's rest. I appreciated the hospitality and look forward to staying again.

The price was fair, and the staff were very nice and explained everything up front. But the area by my room smelled strongly of weed, and someone had stuffed toilet paper into the peephole. People talked loudly in the halls all night. Around 11 pm, someone knocked, then kept trying my door handle. There was no remote, so I couldn't use the TV to drown out the noise. In the morning, I found a chair directly in front of the door, as if whoever had knocked was waiting.

The pool was green and very dirty, and there was trash around the hotel. The sink kept dripping and making noise all night. There was no shampoo or soap. The bed was uncomfortable, with no sheets and only a very light comforter. You need cash for the deposit because they don't trust you, or maybe because I'm Hispanic. This hotel is only for people who can't find anything else nearby for the same price. Look around and don't go to this very bad hotel.

I wouldn't spend money somewhere that accuses guests of things they haven't done or said. They check you in fine, then seem to pick arguments with you even when there's no problem and you answer their questions. They may come into your room after you've paid and confront you while you're minding your own business. Would you want that? I don't know how anyone could recommend this place. Beware, you might be attacked just for paying your bill.
