Courtyard by Marriott Tampa Downtown

Jose, the Chief Engineer, had just finished his shift when we mentioned our heater wasn’t working well as we headed out for the evening. He happened to be at the desk and insisted on replacing it, even though he was off the clock. That kind of help, along with the friendly service throughout, made our stay. The place was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable, despite our doubts after reading reviews about uncomfortable beds. When we asked the desk about getting ice for the drive home, they had bags ready for us at checkout. The food counter had closed, but the women finishing the cash drawers still happily got us much-needed coffee with a smile. We’d absolutely stay here again on our next trip to Tampa.

The rooms were in terrible shape, with furniture falling apart, no headboard, and peeling ceiling and flashing in the bathroom. Noise from cars revving and loud people kept us up all night, and the area didn’t feel very safe. We asked to move to a room on the courtyard side. That was better, though people in the courtyard were noisy too.

I had a great stay at the Courtyard in Downtown Tampa. The room was awesome, really clean, and more than I could’ve asked for. Check-in was excellent, and the gentleman who helped me on Thanksgiving was so kind and welcoming. Customer service was top-tier from start to finish. Highly recommend! Flynn Family

It feels cozy and comfortable here, and the front desk staff are awesome. The place is clean, and smokers can use the friendly courtyard. There’s a good bar, and I usually don’t like hotels with rugs because they stink, but these don’t. The beds are comfortable too. Book here if you want professional service that still feels like home.
