The bed made it hard to get decent sleep, which matters most on a hotel stay. The mattress was so stiff it felt like plywood, and I woke up with a backache both mornings. The pillows were thin and gave almost no support. For a Premier suite advertising signature bedding, I expected better. At over $300 a night on event weekends, the value just wasn’t there. I’ve slept better at a cheaper motel nearby. If you like a soft or even an ordinary medium-firm bed, I’d stay elsewhere. The room was clean, the kitchenette was thoughtfully designed, and the staff were friendly, but those things couldn’t make up for the bed. One tip if you’re already there: you could ask the front desk for an extra comforter or two. If they have spares, putting them under the bottom sheet might give the rock-hard mattress a makeshift pillow-top. It won’t be perfect, but could help take the edge off.

The room discount advertised for joining the Extended Stay America rewards program never appeared, despite my asking about the promised 10% savings. At checkout, the agent said a manager would call me about it, but nobody ever did. Our room was also in bad shape. The floor was visibly dirty with dust, dirt, and sand, and our feet quickly turned black from walking on it. The TV didn’t work when we arrived; staff seemed unconcerned and didn’t know how to fix it. After about 30 minutes and two visits to the room, it finally worked, but its guide showed no programming and there were no regular local broadcast channels. The advertised grab-and-go breakfast items were mostly missing all three mornings. The toilet clogged with normal use, and maintenance told me that happened very frequently at this hotel. If you want a clean room, a standard breakfast, a toilet that doesn’t keep backing up, or local TV, choose somewhere else.

The room change on the third night helped, but the replacement still had rust on the appliances and lamps. Before that, we spent two nights in room 215, which smelled like rotten eggs mixed with penicillin and methane. We complained on the first day and were told, “Wow, we thought we fixed that.” The shower there had barely any pressure, like a battery-operated waterfall. If you take one thing from this, avoid room 215 unless you like the smell of rotten eggs. The hotel doesn’t explain on its website that there’s no maid service unless you stay seven days. They also don’t bring replacement towels to the room. Guests have to take their used ones downstairs to get clean ones. GK was the one staff member who tried to go the extra mile and said management might do something for us, but nothing came of it. They charged Marriott rates for what felt like a thatch hut experience. Maybe they’ll refund some money after reading this. Update, January 20, 2026: The management reply shows they don’t care. They took our money, and a reputable company would have offered to reduce the fees given the awful conditions. Instead, they said they hoped we’d consider staying again. I won’t, not in this lifetime. That response was pathetic.

Everyone working at the hotel was nice and helpful, and the stay itself was fine. My problem was with the manager, Sam. We were there for my husband’s job, and since we didn’t know how long it would last, we initially booked two weeks. I was told rooms were cleaned every two weeks, which seemed fine for an extended stay. Then we added six more days. Sam said that because we had multiple reservations, there’d be a $10 charge to clean the room. We paid and stayed 21 days, and still had to pay for a cleaning. For that little $10, a great review could’ve been earned. Good job, Sam, “the manager.” I was never allowed a cleaning without paying, so I don’t understand why staff tried twice to enter my room while I was inside. I’m glad I was there with the lock on.

We spent two months here after adopting our baby, who was in the NICU. I’m not from Florida, and during such an emotional stretch, the staff’s kindness and support meant so much. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and caring. Kandy especially stood out for her welcoming manner and willingness to help. The grab-and-go breakfast was a lifesaver, and the starter set of dishes was a thoughtful touch. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and having laundry and a gym on site made life easier. Thanks for making a stressful chapter feel a little more like home.
