The location made this a great base for getting around Tampa. Most places we drove to were 15 minutes away or less, and you can walk to plenty of restaurants and other spots. I spent three nights here and could easily have stayed a week. The room was large, very clean, and nicely equipped. Michelle made check-in friendly and courteous, and Colin, Helena, and the breakfast buffet staff were all nice. The rooftop pool was one of the best I’ve seen, and the fitness center had decent equipment. The TV had a surprisingly good channel selection, and tea and coffee hot water was usually available in the lobby. Room service every other day was enough. Breakfast was good, though not amazing. One small oddity, there were no bananas two mornings in a row, even though Publix is a block away. Parking is easy in and out through the garage, but city parking through a QR code cost $37 plus tax for 24 hours, which felt pricey.

We walked about 15 minutes to both the arena for a hockey game and the aquarium, and scooters and bikes nearby made getting around town easy. The hotel was also convenient to Ybor city, Hyde Park, and strip clubs, depending on what you’re into. We had a great stay and will be back. We arrived several hours before check-in, but the front desk team and hospitality Manager got our room ready early. They offered us garage parking or a place to wait in the lobby. There’s a Starbucks attached, so my wife and I grabbed coffee while we waited. The room was very clean and better than we expected. The water took four or five minutes to heat, which seemed like a problem, so we called maintenance. They arrived within 15 minutes, and the very nice technician showed us it just needed to run longer. Then it got piping hot. Breakfast had a long line, so we went to Starbucks instead. If you have time, the hotel breakfast may be worth the wait, but plan to eat elsewhere if you’re in a rush. Road noise didn’t bother us. We slept through it with the fan running, though a sound machine could help.

The breakfast was great, with lots of choices, and the staff kept everything stocked and tidy. Everyone was pleasant and helpful, and willing to pitch in with extra requests. Our room and bathroom were clean, and having dishes provided was useful. It was quiet at night without much door slamming, and the pool area was nice too. Great place, I’d stay again.

Emily and the front desk team made check-in easy, and the shuttle to the cruise terminal was simple too. Publix and CVS are close by for last-minute cruise supplies. I’d stay here again.
