Hampton Inn & Suites Tampa-North

We stayed here over Thanksgiving Holidays 2025 after my husband needed emergency surgery. The team made sure our family had everything we needed, and I’m forever grateful. They’ve made our trips to Moffitt for his treatments much more bearable. Christina, Debra, and Stephen at the front desk are so kind, compassionate, and caring with every guest. The property is always clean, breakfast is fresh, hot, and served with a smile, and the location is perfect for Moffitt. As a former Director of Sales for Hilton Properties, I can assure you this is a Diamond Team!

The staff were the best, breakfast was awesome, and the room was quiet. The pull-out sofa was comfortable and the pillows were great. The room itself could’ve been better, though. There was a lot of mold in the shower, hair on the bathroom floor, a dirty kitchen sink, and food left on the plates.

I gave the front desk a two-hour window to service our room before we left, but after more than three hours it still hadn’t been done. We’re staying for over a week. It took four calls and a trip to the desk, then we still had to wait longer for the room to be ready. There’s a major breakdown in communication and systems between housekeeping and guest services. I’ve never been this disappointed in hospitality. We were left waiting outside in humid Florida heat for the room to be cleaned because the lobby was being cleaned too. That’s simply unacceptable. I’ve worked in hospitality for more than two decades, and I know what I’m talking about.

After a few supposedly comfortable hotel stays that didn't work out, I finally found a quiet, clean, well-kept place where I slept really well. I got Busch Gardens season passes, and this is now my Tampa hotel for 2026. So glad I found it.
