The desk service was actually good, even though they were behind glass, and they accepted cash. You pay a higher rate if you don’t book online, though. At $70 a night, this sithole is far too expensive. I’ve stayed in comparable places nearby since that were leaps and bounds cleaner and better. This was one of the worst motels I’ve been in. The Wi-Fi didn’t work in room 207. It showed one bar, but was too far away to connect. The toilet wouldn’t flush, water leaked from the ceiling, and there were stains, cracks, and holes everywhere. The bed seemed broken, the refrigerator froze the water, and cleaners kept knocking on the door for no reason.

The man at the desk was kind and really tried to help me, but the problems were beyond what he could fix. I switched rooms at 1 a.m. after about 12 hours of travel, and the second one was no better. I was too exhausted to find somewhere else. I’m usually easygoing and have stayed in some rough rooms. I believe you get what you pay for, and I’ve never complained before, but this place was shockingly disgusting and even felt scary. The door looked like it had been kicked in and patched up, and it still wouldn’t shut all the way. There were bits of poop in the toilet and hairs on the back of it. The AC looked melted, like someone had held a lighter to it. There was so much else wrong that I can’t list it all. The listing showed a pool, but it had been filled in with cement. I’d normally say to be cautious, but honestly, don’t stay here.

We crossed the state overnight and got in at 4 a.m., only to discover that the reservation we’d made had been canceled without us knowing. Rodeway came through in a pinch. On such short notice, it was definitely the best value for the money.

I paid, but I couldn’t stay. The rooms had bugs crawling around and an awful smell, so I had to find another hotel. I booked after visiting the property and checked in within half an hour. The first room was unlivable, and the second had the same bugs and odor. When I asked about getting my money back, the hotel employee said the third party’s policy required deducting one night for a cancellation. But when I contacted the third party, they said the hotel employee made that decision. What a runaround. You’d be better off staying in your car.
