Super 8 Taos

The room had almost no furniture or amenities. There wasn’t a chair, desk, or table, so the only places to sit were the bed or floor. No clock either, and the TV remote was missing. At the front desk, the employee spent over five minutes rummaging through drawers and boxes before finding a remote, but it didn’t work. I went back and waited through another search for batteries, and it still didn’t work. The rooms, hallways, and breakfast area are run down and badly need renovating. There were holes in the bathroom wall stuffed with toilet paper. Breakfast was just carbs, cereal and waffles. Super 8 is meant to be economical, but this property gives the rest a bad name.

We loved the waffles and fresh fruit at breakfast, and the gentleman at the front desk was so kind. Our room was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and they let us check out an hour late. Such a nice budget hotel. Read the reviews instead of going by the rating, since the negative ones seem to complain about the dumbest things.

Even over a busy Memorial Day weekend, it stayed pretty quiet and away from the heavy traffic. I liked that it’s not right on Taos’s main street, and the location suited me really well. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back. I’ll be back again!

The family running Super 8 by Wyndham Taos gave excellent service and were very welcoming and kind. Our room, including the restroom, was very clean. We had a very good stay.
