Towneplace Suites By Marriott Detroit Taylor

The full-size refrigerator and little kitchenette were nice, even though we didn't really use them. I don't think the beds are truly queen size, more like full. I used the app to check in and avoid the front desk, as advertised, but still had to stop there. My pre-arrival request for an extra pillow and towel wasn't fulfilled. The free breakfast sandwiches were frozen in the middle two mornings in a row. I also reported someone's shed clothing or bathing suit in a side stairwell hallway at 5:30 am. It was still there at 9:30 am.

We stayed recently and everything looked brand new. The room was pristinely clean, with a small kitchen area, larger fridge, rangetop, dishes, silverware, and a glass-door shower. The modern setup was really nice, and the pool was amazing and super clean. Staff were friendly, too. It's near everything and about 15 minutes from the airport. Not sure why some reviews are negative, we thought this hotel was fantastic!

The free breakfast was plentiful and tasty, and the staff were friendly and professional. This Marriott property is two years old and still looked new. I'd definitely stay again.

I travel with a service dog and had no trouble bringing him along. He loves the TownePlace Suites, too. This was my second wonderful stay, and I'll be back in the very near future. I went well out of my way to stay here, and it's one of the nicest TownePlace Suites I've stayed at. The staff are excellent, and I love the clean, modern room finishes. It's quiet and peaceful, with convenient access to the nearby highway. I appreciated the accommodations and warm welcome, and I'll return when my travels take me near Detroit/Taylor.
