Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Phoenix Tempe/A

The breakfast had four egg choices, and oat milk too, which I liked. The employees were really nice, and downtown Tempe is cute and not far away. We got great sleep in a super clean room that looked brand new. We arrived on Super Bowl Sunday and caught the score in the lobby. It felt almost like a home away from home, and I’d easily stay again.

We asked to leave our suitcases there and they had no problem with it. Breakfast was really tasty, and the beds were big and nice. The bathrooms were clean and modern, and there’s a gym and pool too. I’d recommend this hotel.

Even though my room was right beside the elevator, it stayed very quiet. The room itself was nice. Getting here is easy, and the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to the airport, breakfast, and a fitness center. Breakfast had hot and cold cereal, oatmeal, breads, muffins, waffles with plenty of toppings, and several egg options, including cage-free scrambled eggs, spinach and Swiss cheese quiche, and an egg and ham sandwich. There were pork sausage patties too.

The location was great, with fast food, gas, activities, and a grocery store all a short drive away. The rooms were clean and nice, and the whirlpool was a welcome extra. But the pool gets little sun and was really cold, and the elevator took forever. I chose this place partly because of reviews calling the breakfast buffet amazing, so the small, basic spread was disappointing: a little scrambled egg, one meat that changed by day, a breakfast sandwich, waffles, bread, and muffins. Four stars, though the pool and elevator were major inconveniences.
