Home2 Suites by Hilton Phoenix Tempe, University Research Park

On Sunday, Barbara welcomed us at the complimentary breakfast with a great attitude. She was friendly, attentive, and ready to help, and if something wasn’t out yet, she made sure we got it. We had a bedding mix-up at first. We called for fresh sets, but housekeeping didn’t understand what we needed, and by 8 PM we still hadn’t received them. We went downstairs, where Kayla greeted us warmly, answered our questions, brought extra towels, and made sure the clean bedding was sent up right away. She was wonderful every time we interacted during the stay and really went above and beyond. Despite that initial snag, we had a fantastic stay at Home2 by Hilton. Kayla and Barbara’s customer service made a big difference. We can’t wait to book here again when we visit family or come for the ASU game.

I went down to the lobby at 9pm to order dinner, since it’s supposedly served from 6pm-10pm. The bartender said they weren’t serving dinner that night and didn’t explain why. It’s also been very hard to reach housekeeping. For three days in a row I asked for room service and was told they’d note that I needed fresh towels, a quick vacuum, and cleanup, but nobody followed up.

I’ve only been here a few hours, and the room is gross, the dishwasher is broken, and the digital key doesn’t work. One of the worst Hilton’s I’ve stayed at. I won’t come back. I went to the front desk several times to raise the issues and was told a manager would call. No one ever did. Avoid this hotel!

The rooms are a good size, and I always enjoy staying at our Hilton places. One thing to know: use your digital key if you want to skip the check-in counter, or you won’t be able to get into the main Home2Suites entrance.
