ROVE LIVING/KB - V on Broadway

I ended up canceling my application and losing the fee because of Amanda and Kevin. I was considering a year at V on Broadway, which would have cost $16833.60. That could have doubled or tripled if I’d enjoyed living there and renewed, but the way the application was handled left me concerned about how they’d respond to costly maintenance problems. I’m self-employed, earn over six figures, and felt I was treated poorly. I’d steer clear. When I visited in April, Amanda showed me around, answered questions, and explained the application. She gave me a key to see the apartment I wanted. It was supposed to be new and unoccupied, but as the photos show, it was still torn apart. Amanda first seemed confused about why, then said they’d been working on the apartment below and had forgotten to clean up. She promised it would be sorted before move-in. That should have been my first warning. I applied online that night, submitted my payment details, and got a pre-approval email the next day asking for income and residency verification. I’m self-employed and had subleased for years without paperwork, so I left a voicemail asking what documents would work. It took 4-5 days to hear back. Once we figured out what I could provide, I emailed the documents to the leasing office. I got no confirmation, so after about 36 hours I called to check they’d arrived and that the application was moving forward. Then another 4-5 days passed with no call back or email acknowledgment, and no calls to my landlords to verify residency. I decided to cancel. After I left a cancellation message, they called twice fairly quickly, but I was working and missed them. They left voicemails confirming I wanted to cancel, then emailed. They managed to confirm the cancellation promptly, but couldn’t spend 20 seconds confirming they’d received my documents. I was left waiting for days. Honestly, I feel Amanda and Kevin ignored my calls and email on purpose.

They don’t welcome pets, and this complex unlawfully removes tenants and mishandles lease contracts. The leasing office staff are an absolute joke. Save your time and money and live somewhere else, anywhere else!

The apartment is beautiful, and Kyle and Stephanie made the whole move-in process reliable and transparent from start to finish. They were great throughout.

Megan is friendly and kind, and the property is beautifully kept. Highly recommend.
