The Westin Tempe

It’s an easy walk to “A” Mountain and ASU facilities. The rooms are modern, spacious, and have plenty of room to unpack and relax; the bathrooms are modern too. Most staff are friendly and helpful, though at Terra Tempe Kitchen and Spirits you can quickly find yourself waiting thirsty. Both times I’ve stayed over the past six months, city construction has shut down a lot of access.

The hotel is lovely, with clean, modern, comfortable rooms and a convenient location for getting around Tempe and the surrounding area. The rooftop and common areas are especially nice, and most of the amenities were great. It could have been a really positive stay, but a staff interaction left a lasting bad impression. Hannah Tucker came across as rude, condescending, and unprofessional. I had a simple question, and instead of helping resolve it, the response felt dismissive and needlessly confrontational. That service didn’t match what I’d expect from a Westin. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes sure staff represent the brand with courtesy and professionalism.

The rooftop bar looks stunning at sunset, and we got vouchers for free coffee and drinks, which was a lovely touch. Valet and parking were easy, and the hotel is right by Mill Avenue, where there’s plenty of food and things to do since it’s the party area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely and quite large, with a very comfortable bed.

I’ve stayed at the Westin Tempe about once a month for work for more than a year, and it’s consistently been a great experience. The hotel is always clean, the rooms are comfortable, and the gym is great when you’re on the road often. The staff are what really keep me coming back. Jayden, Jonas, Austin, and Danielle at the front desk are welcoming, professional, and genuinely helpful. The team at Tierra Tempe is just as solid. Everyone puts customers first on every stay. It’s rare to find this kind of consistency, and I highly recommend the hotel.
