Candlewood Suites - Temple Medical Center by IHG

A comfortable, clean stay with no noise or maintenance problems and no surprises. It was just what I needed, stress-free and with nothing to complain about. I'd definitely come back.

The non-smoking room didn't smell like one, and the AC was below par. We had a queen room, and at check-in they offered a king. I said yes, but nobody mentioned that it cost almost 50% more.

I drove five hours the day before so I could be in town for a work meeting, then ended up missing it. At 3:30 a.m. I went to take a bag to my vehicle and work out, but my key wouldn't open the room when I came back. There was nobody at the front desk, and I couldn't find any hotel employee after walking every floor and the whole property. My phone and wallet were locked in the room with my other things, so I had to leave the hotel to find a phone and call the 1-800 number. The corporate number didn't respond. I called every 15 minutes until the front desk attendant finally showed up around 6 a.m. Once I got my key reactivated, I walked in on the employee sitting in the lobby with a friend. The business was extremely unprofessional, and nobody from the hotel has explained why the desk was left unattended for two hours in the morning, when people are heading to work. If your time matters, I strongly recommend staying somewhere else.

Tay at the front desk was very, very helpful and made our stay worthwhile. The room was clean, with a clean bed, a good amount of space, and a small full kitchen. It was a good price for a studio that size with two queen beds. We were there for the VA hospital and loved the roomy exercise room, plus the free washer and dryer for guests. Thank you, Candlewood!
