Classic Inn Motel

It was affordable, and there were roaches, but the worst part was that the housekeeper stole from me while I was away on vacation. I told the owners, and they did nothing. They even let her keep entering my room. Their excuse was that she’d worked there for 10 years. It makes me wonder how many other people she may have stolen from.

I’ve been staying here for almost four months. The employees are amazing and do a good job keeping the place clean and maintained. It’s expensive, but worth every penny to me. The parking lot is small, and getting around can be inconvenient: McDonald’s and IHOP are about a mile south, Valero is roughly a mile and a half north, and if you need to head north again, you have to drive down to make a U-turn.

After a long walk to get there, I finally got help and was asked whether I wanted a smoking or nonsmoking room. I don’t smoke, but I said smoking. The clerk returned almost immediately and said there weren’t any smoking rooms, so I said nonsmoking would be fine. Then she came back and said they didn’t have any nonsmoking rooms either. I felt they were discriminating against me.

I’m being generous with my rating. It’s an older place and not part of a chain, but it could use fresh paint and a cleaner who does more than give things a quick swipe with a “rag.” The bathrooms need work too. When my one allotted roll of toilet paper ran out at 1:48 AM, nobody answered the front desk phone or my repeated knocks, and the nearest convenience store was many blocks away. I’ll need fresh towels too. 🤯🤭😖🤬😤🙈
