The place started out cozy when my wife, daughter, and I moved to Temple in August 2025. Housekeeping used to come at the same time every day with fresh towels and washcloths, and cleaned while we were out. After that original pair left, things went downhill. Parts of the room came loose, including the bathroom door and the drawer by the stove. The fridge and stove both quit; maintenance left a replacement fridge outside our door but never dealt with the stove, even after I called several times. We also had roaches and gnats, and heard rats in the wall, with no action taken. The newer housekeeping staff would pass our room without asking if we needed anything, so I had to go to the desk for towels and toilet paper. Most of the staff were rude, though one gentleman was kind. We finally moved out, thank goodness. If you're visiting or moving to Temple, I'd avoid this place. They were quick to take our money and slow to fix anything.

I couldn't wait to leave. The room stayed hot and stuffy because the air conditioner barely worked, and tenants yelled and argued through the night. Outside, cracked water spots on the building looked like possible ongoing leaks, which worried me about its condition. The listing says Knights Inn, but this is actually a Motel 6. After we checked in, the clerk walked by our window and stopped to stare inside, which felt really uncomfortable. The kitchenette looked decent at first, but then we found dead roaches in the cabinets, behind doors, and near the table, plus a live baby roach in the bathroom. There were dead bugs in the light fixture, no bathroom ventilation, and hair and stains on the pillowcases. The towels were stained too, so I couldn't use them. I slept in my own sleeping bag because the bedding didn't feel clean or safe. The listing was misleading, and the cleanliness and upkeep were unacceptable. This was one of my worst hotel stays. I'll report it. Travelers deserve accurate information and a clean, safe room, and this place failed at all of that.

Stay far away. The outside is falling apart, and inside there's a roach problem. The towels and washcloths were filthy, covered in stains and dirt, and clearly hadn't been changed. The pillowcases had hair and stains, the walls were dirty, and about half the lights barely worked. One of the worst places around. Whoever owns it seems not to care about the property at all. NEVER STAY HERE.

For 80$ a night, the room was filthy, with roaches and dirty sheets. The owners were rude, and everyone there felt weird and creepy. The owners would walk by and creep around, and they weren't friendly. NEVER STAY HERE!

We didn't stay. After a long day, we arrived just after midnight on Memorial Day weekend, when rooms were scarce. We'd booked late because our schedule changed, and accepted the no-refund rate because we needed somewhere. The lot had litter and cigarette butts everywhere, with people lingering around. Inside, instead of the two Queens we'd reserved, there were two worn-out, sunken full-size beds that looked like they might date from the 70's. The bedspreads were dated too. My wife and Mother both said, "uh, uh, no way." I left the key on the mattress and walked out. We couldn't find another room in Temple, but we'd rather drive another hour than stay there. The room photos online in NO WAY showed what it was really like.
