Lark Inn

The Wi-Fi is the only thing that gives me trouble. Some days it works perfectly, and other times I’m better off using my data plan, if I can. I usually pay around $50 or a bit more per night, unless the rates have gone up. The motel is next to a trailer park, but it’s generally quiet, the trailers are kept up, and their owners are nice. My rooms have always been cleaned well, beige bathtub included. Breakfast isn’t the best, but there are free DVD rentals, which often cost extra elsewhere, and the staff are usually friendly.

I loved the quilts and the country style. The room felt warm and homey, and it was roomy with all the modern amenities. The nightly rates were really good, too. My husband and I have decided to come back for our 10th anniversary. A friend and I found this charming little inn during a road trip when we needed somewhere to escape the snowstorm for the night. We got there close to midnight, and the woman who checked us in was friendly and courteous despite the late hour. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet getaway without the hassle of a chain hotel.

The clerk was very nice and helpful, but I was disappointed by the room. It was tiny and very outdated, with a big box TV that had poor color. I also had to pull the refrigerator out to plug it in. There were no washcloths or hand towels, so I had to call and ask for them. I’m not sure I’d stay again.

We had a comfortable cabin, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast had plenty of options, including some that worked for a gluten-free diet. I’d recommend The Lark Inn.
