Skyview Hotel

Those small touches really made the stay, from the s’mores kit for the evening fire to the luxurious shampoo and the breakfast boxes. There’s also a little shop, and the coffee was fantastic. The location is beautiful, and the rooms are gorgeous. My family and I arrived this weekend and were blown away as soon as we got there. I’d highly recommend this gem, and I’ll definitely be back. ❤️

The night sky was one of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen. With the city’s lights out, stargazing was spectacular, and it made the stay especially memorable. We stayed in a dome, a really unique experience. It had temperature control, a fridge, a coffee maker, and complimentary snacks, so it was comfortable and convenient. The amenities were great, and we appreciated the property’s attention to the environment. The check-in attendant was very helpful and took time to explain how everything worked and what to expect during our stay.

We had dinner at Chak Balam, where the food, drinks, and service were fantastic. It looks a bit like a hole in the wall, but those places often serve the best food. At Skyview Hotel in Torrey, UT, our spacious, clean room in the main hotel had a patio looking out over canyons. Free drinks, snacks, coffee, and sweet treats were included in the room. The place is wonderfully unique and cool, and the young woman at the front desk was kind and helpful. I only wish we’d stayed more than one night.

The bed was really comfortable, and the HVAC kept the room at a good temperature without blowing air at us like some chain hotels do. We also liked the AppleTV streaming box, which gave us lots of viewing options. Sitting on the back patio and enjoying the amazing view was a favorite part of our two nights here. We appreciated that drinks, water, and snacks in the room were included in the price. There was no alcohol, of course, but it was nice not to feel nickeled and dimed. The people were very nice, too. The front exterior wasn’t very attractive to me, but don’t let that put you off. The hotel is on the west side of Torrey, so it’s a couple of miles farther to drive to Capital Reef SP, which shouldn’t be much of an issue if you’ve already driven here. One odd thing in room 13 was that we could clearly hear voices through the ceiling bathroom air vent. Keeping the bathroom door closed solved it. The hotel is popular, so book well ahead. We booked in January for our mid-May stay. If we come back, we’d have to stay here again.
