Courtyard Traverse City

Those pillows were awful, flat or lumpy, even after we asked for three more. I’d bring my own next time. Housekeeping was hit or miss too: we had the DND sign up the first day, got a note saying they’d return the next day, but they didn’t. Someone helped with towels, trash, and the shower after we asked, and we had to find staff again to get the sheets changed. The place itself was clean and smelled fresh when we entered, and the cafe was quick in the morning. Everyone we spoke with was friendly, often going out of their way. It’s a good location, about 15 minutes from downtown without downtown prices. I’d stay here again.

We were here during a winter storm and got genuine hospitality. The restaurant food was better than it had to be, service was great throughout, and the rooms were spacious and clean. The pool was warm and pleasant too.

There are several restaurants within walking distance, and the location was decent and quiet. There’s also a small restaurant in the lobby. The room itself was nice, but the bathroom looked like it had been skipped in the recent renovation. It smelled musty, wasn’t very clean, had mildew on much of the caulking, and visible stains on the floor by the toilet. For over $200 a night, I didn’t expect that.

The room facing the fire pit stayed quiet, which was wonderful since I’m a light sleeper. It was raining, so I was glad people weren’t outside by the fire pit. We’d been told soccer teams were staying there, but the parents seemed to keep the kids from running around, as often happens with sports teams. Check-in was seamless, and the room was clean and just right. It was a very good stay, and I’d come back.
