The Baywatch Resort

I've stayed here a couple of times, and it's always been really clean. The staff are friendly and accommodating. They gave me a late checkout without any hassle or charge, and when I called for a wine opener, someone was at my door with it almost before I'd hung up. The spa tubs have jet bubblers and are very relaxing. Really impressive for such an affordable nightly rate.

The room was absolutely disgusting. Photos make this place look like a full-on “resort,” but they should take that word out of the name. At check-in, a staff member scanned my card for payment, then said there was an error and asked for the card back. I checked my account while he waited, and the payment had gone through. He said he needed to get his manager and would try charging it again. I told him he wasn't scanning my card a second time, since the problem had to be on their end. He kept arguing in front of other guests before finally stopping. There were dead bugs everywhere outside, more bugs than cement. Why wouldn't a resort clear them from the walkways and seating areas each morning? Later, while we were at a bonfire near the seating area, I went into the lobby restroom and found it had no paper towels. We told the front desk, and Sam said we should just “go use the other one.” The room wasn't very clean, and we were told cleaning was a “specialty request.” On our last night, we watched the sunset from the beach and returned to find the room covered in bugs. The front desk was rude and sarcastic when we raised it. They gave us another room, but implied we'd caused the problem. There are plaques everywhere about the bugs. We didn't leave the patio door open, except to go in and shut it right away. The staff get zero stars from me. Most of them shouldn't be in hospitality. Breakfast gets one star. Don't bother, just go for brunch somewhere else. There were no protein choices, only waffles, bagels, and very little fruit. The whole place gets one star. They could do SO much better.

We've stayed at Baywatch Resort several times over the years, and every visit has been great. That's a big reason we chose them for our wedding guests this coming June. They've been wonderful to work with so far. The hotel is spotless, and you can tell cleanliness and attention to detail matter here. The staff are always welcoming, friendly, and accommodating, which makes each visit feel easy and comfortable. The location is gorgeous and makes the trip feel special from the moment you arrive. Duke Rosendahl deserves a special mention. He's been kind, responsive, and incredibly helpful from our first conversation about wedding planning. He's gone above and beyond with our hotel block, making a process that could've been stressful feel simple. We feel confident our guests will love staying here, thanks in large part to his care and attention. From the sales manager to the day-to-day staff, the whole operation has impressed us. It's clear the team cares about guests and takes pride in their work. We're grateful to be working with them for such an important occasion, and we'd recommend Baywatch Resort/Beach Haus to anyone looking for a welcoming, beautiful, well-run place to stay.

The view was really pretty, the room was nice, and the staff were friendly. For the price, it worked for us, though the place could use some updating. The TV only had cable, with no way to sign in to streaming services. Breakfast was basic packaged food, but it was handy to have it brought to our room at the time we chose. We spent some time trying to find the fitness center, only to learn it had moved to another floor and couldn't be accessed during renovations.
