For $80, which feels high to this GenXer but is affordable by today’s standards, it did the job for a night while passing through. The woman at the night desk was joyful, friendly, kind, and very helpful. The pillows were comfortable and clean, but the room smelled of cigarettes. There were patched holes in the wall, the mattress didn’t fit its frame, and the shower curtain stopped short of the floor, so water ran onto the bathroom floor. The neighbors talked loudly until 5 a.m. I’ve stayed at this motel before and had a better room experience last time. It’s no Ritz.

The breakfast is just toast, bagels, waffles, cereal, and microwave oatmeal, and the owners should put more investment into the business. Housekeeping won’t clean or even provide fresh linens if you stay several nights. The floor was so filthy that walking across it in socks left them thick with black grime. Roaches were all over the microwave and bathroom, and the place is infested with roaches, fleas, bed bugs, and other pests. I’d tell anyone to pass by and not even consider staying. The health inspectors should shut it down. You’d be better off at the Econo Lodge, or, for great service, the Hampton, which is by far the best motel you can stay at.

We came for a Troy football game a few months ago, and the stay was awful. The first outside room smelled rancid. We asked to move and found lots of blood on the office chair and a pillow in the next room. I contacted management at least three times and got no reply. We never got our money back. Disgusting place.

The rooms are tiny, with dirty furniture and no dressers. The refrigerator and microwave are old and dirty, too. They claim to have coffee all day, but they don’t.

The toilet looked dirty, and there was a used bar of soap and a hair tie in the bathroom. I also found stains on the Bible and walls. I told the night staff, who offered me an extra hour in the morning. They didn’t offer a room change or any compensation. The place was spot-cleaned and disgusting. I don’t recommend it.
