The staff are outstanding, the decor is nice, and everything is in good condition. Somerset Inn is in a perfect spot, next door to the Somerset Collection and close to I-75, with downtown Detroit less than 30 minutes away. The rooms are smaller than most, with Queen beds instead of Kings, and the bathrooms are “cozy,” to say the least. Couples might find the rooms too small or prefer a King. When I’m in the area by myself, I’d definitely stay again.

Somerset Inn was clean, comfortable, and more spacious than I expected, with everything we needed to unwind after a long day. The staff made us feel welcome right when we arrived, and the whole property was spotless and well maintained. We could walk to the mall, and found a fantastic nearby restaurant where we had a memorable dinner. The location made dining easy. Friendly service, comfortable rooms, and a hassle-free visit. I’d recommend it and we’ll definitely be back.

I had my wedding shower at this hotel and loved it enough to hold my sister’s baby shower here recently too. The food is INCREDIBLE, and the service is OUTSTANDING. Ms. Pam was our room captain both times and was amazing and ON IT. Carrie, the banquet manager most recently, made everything so easy and enjoyable. I LOVE this hotel, will definitely be back, and highly recommend it!

Being close to the upscale shops was a real plus. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were courteous and very friendly. The basics could use an update, though, and the bar was unexpectedly closed while we were there.

We were in town for business as part of a group of around 50, and I feel I should mention what happened so other guests don’t have the same experience. Mr. Faruk was very rude to the six of us in the breakfast area from the moment we sat down. He brought only two servings of milk with our coffees, then complained when we asked for more. He also refused to bring us cutlery, among other things. We paid to stay at a hotel and shouldn’t have been treated that way. I hope you’ll speak with him.
