Hampton Inn & Suites Tucson Tech Park

It’s a standard hotel room with two queens, a bathroom and shower, TV, and small refrigerator. I appreciated how clean everything was, which made my family comfortable. The shower was bigger than the ones at other Hilton family hotels I’ve stayed in, though it wasn’t huge. Breakfast was the usual standard fare, nothing groundbreaking, but everything was clean, and I appreciated that.

The breakfast options were good, which was a positive. But the bed was uncomfortable for the price and gave me back pain during my stay. The TV cable service was poor, with a blurry picture, the broken showerhead sprayed unpleasantly, and the air conditioner didn’t cool the room properly. We arrived late the night before and hoped to sleep in on vacation, but the cleaning staff started moving furniture and vacuuming early, making excessive noise. That was very disappointing. Housekeeping never cleaned our room during the three days we were there. Breakfast was also below what I’ve had at most other Hamptons: food and coffee ran out, and there was no one around to ask to refill the empty containers. Unless the service improves, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The staff were great, and I wasn’t especially bothered by the room’s problems, but it was easily one of the most neglected hotel rooms I’ve stayed in. The showerhead was disgusting, the trim around the bars had come loose, the sink drain didn’t work, there was no outlet by the bed, and the electric-curtain button had fallen off the wall. Even the toilet bolts were rusty, though they make caps for those. I told the front desk the room was in poor shape. I’d booked through the Hilton app just half an hour before arriving, and the room I picked wasn’t available when I got there. Advertising rooms you can’t actually get is annoying. I wouldn’t stay here again.
