Hilton Vacation Club Varsity Club Tucson

Seven nights here, and only one room cleaning. They left a snack box with two sodas and a couple of small snacks, and when I said by message that the noise had made the stay sleepless, I got no real response. One reply just pointed out that we had a sound machine. Hilton should take its name off this property. It’s not the service or property I expect from the brand, and I won’t return. I’m a Hilton Honors Lifetime Diamond member and booked several months ahead, requesting an upgrade if one was available. I was told it would depend on availability at arrival. I also asked for a room away from the road, and was told “no worries.” My profile also says high floor, away from the elevator. Instead, we got the first floor beside the elevator, about 10 yards from a very busy intersection. The road noise was awful day and night. They had a sound machine at full volume, but it didn’t solve it. They said they’d put me on the upgrade list, but that never happened, even though rooms were showing as available online. They checked in by message a few times, but didn’t address my complaint. The pool area was small and there were no amenities worth mentioning. I hate being so negative, but there was nothing to praise, especially when other rooms appeared to be available and we were left in the worst one.
