We were really glad our friends pointed us to the Big Blue House. My husband and I came to Tucson for a special concert and wanted to make a nice memory, so we treated ourselves to dinner and a night here. It's also an easy walk to 4th avenue, with its restaurants, little shops, and galleries. The owner made us feel welcome and told us a bit about Tucson. They were accommodating and friendly, and upgraded our room because they were concerned the air-conditioner might not be working quite well enough. The room had local Tucson art, hardwood floors, beautiful rugs, and a full kitchen stocked with what you might need. Everything was clean. The house itself is exquisite, an old place with little treasures even along the winding stairs to our room. In the morning, the owner made us a delicious, filling breakfast: blueberry-cinnamon pancakes, fresh summer fruit, eggs, bacon, toast, coffee or tea, and maple syrup. We left happy and full, and will definitely stay again.

The owner made the stay even better. They're friendly, know hospitality, and clearly enjoy making guests comfortable. My breakfast was wonderful, with fresh blueberries and pancakes, and eggs made the way I liked them. Thanks! The room had lots of privacy and was really comfortable, with strong WiFi, a flat-screen TV with extended cable, several kinds of coffee, and fresh drinking water. Comfortable chairs and different lighting made it easy to read or write. It was a great experience.

I was glad I'd found this historic place, but it felt old rather than vintage, and I was very disappointed. I've stayed at plenty of B&Bs that felt warm and welcoming, with shared spaces, good coffee, cookies, and even ice cream in the evening. Maybe my expectations were too high, but this felt like just a bed in a hot room and a breakfast that wasn't very exciting. It was the worst $150 I ever spent, and I'm glad I only stayed one night.

We've stayed here several times, and each visit has been better than the last. It's the best place to stay in central Tucson, with a beautiful house and rooms. We also appreciated being near the restaurants and shops on Fourth Avenue during our several-day stay. Highly recommended.

This charming bed-and-breakfast is right in downtown Tucson, close to 4th Avenue, the university, and the rest of downtown. Breakfast is included with the room and tastes great. The rooms are all different from each other and come with fantastic amenities.
