I used to live in Tucson, and it’s only two hours from our home, but this bed and breakfast changed how I see the city. Its quiet beauty and view speak for themselves, the rooms are clean and nicely decorated, and the host was incredibly thoughtful and generous. As a foodie, I loved the breakfasts most of all. Each one had three outstanding courses, the sort of meal that would be hard to find at a local restaurant. I’m already planning to return with my husband and my in-laws. I can’t praise the place enough.

The breakfasts, cooked and served by our host and chef, Janos, were fantastic. The location is within walking distance of the Saguaro National Forest, and the beautiful home and grounds made the visit memorable. There are quiet rooms with a large jetted tub, a relaxed common area, a pool, two cute pugs, two friendly yellow labs, and a big, fat pig. There’s also a zebra, though we didn’t see her because she was being bred during our visit. It was such a lovely stay at the Suncatcher that I’d consider going there as a destination. This was the bed and breakfast I’d imagined, and I’d recommend it to anyone traveling to the southwest.

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary here, and it was a lovely choice. The desert views are beautiful, and Sagaro National Park is within two blocks. We walked there every day. The place is quiet and peaceful, just right if you enjoy the Southwest countryside. Janos was a wonderful host who generously shared his lovely home with guests, and he’s an artist in the kitchen. Breakfast was phenomenal, beautifully presented, and so appealing that I took a picture every morning. There are treasures to discover among the display pieces throughout the house.

The breakfasts were almost too good, and definitely too big, which is my main complaint. This B&B has plenty of personality, including a pet pig you can visit if you want. Still, the accommodations aren’t rustic: everything was comfortable and beautiful, inside and out. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to going back, though Boston is a long way away. -kb

My wife booked this for me, and after seeing the beautiful room and meeting my host, I owe her big. The views were great, and there were two very friendly dogs.
