We called ahead to mention we’d be checking in late because it was our wedding night, but when we arrived around 1 a.m., after a two-hour trip, we couldn’t pay for the room and had to go back home. I understand that I mistakenly thought I’d paid when booking, but it made for a sad, disappointing end to the night. I was still in my wedding dress with my bouquet. The woman at check-in was rude from the start and seemed impaired to me. She struggled to use the mouse several times, took more than 15 minutes to bring up our account even though I could see the screen, and handled the room keys aggressively. She didn’t acknowledge our wedding until she said “congratulations” offhandedly as we left. My husband and I stayed calm and kind, but she kept making things worse, saying, “idk why you’re giving me attitude- this is not my fault. You can take it up with Marriott,” even though we weren’t being hateful. We both felt she was trying to provoke him. The customer service at check-in was absolutely disgusting. I’m glad we stayed kind and got home safely, but I’m so sad about how we were treated.

Management reached out after I posted and listened to me. They gave me a heartfelt apology and worked to resolve the issue. We were there with a group for my dad’s homecoming celebration, and the hotel was sold out, so we tried to make the best of it. My third-floor room badly needed an update. The carpet was dirty, the sheets were so wrinkled I wondered how long they’d been bunched up before use, and the closet doorknob area was so gross we cleaned it with alcohol. The curtains smelled, and the floor felt creepy, old, and filthy. We paid $259 on Thursday, which it definitely wasn’t worth. I don’t think I’d stay here again.

Parking was simple, with plenty of covered spaces, and the location was good. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, and breakfast had waffles, cereal, oatmeal, bagels, toast, and other quick choices that made it easy to get going.

It’s an easy walk to the BOK Center, with plenty of restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and recognized my Bonvoy status. Beds were comfortable, and breakfast was decent.

We had a great stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Downtown Tulsa and can’t wait to come back 🤗 Being a Marriott Bonvoy member is great. Lexi welcomed us and was there again at the end of our stay, a wonderful and knowledgeable front desk host. The other front desk hosts were great too: Rayya, Esther, Kristen, Tracyci, and Tiffany, along with housekeeping staff member Yoann R.
