Osage Casino Hotel Tulsa

The food was good, the room was clean, and we enjoyed the hot tub during our February 13th and 14th stay. The problem came at 11:30am on the 14th, when banging woke us up. A housekeeper opened the door herself while I was going to answer and said we were late checking out and would be charged. I told her we’d booked the room for another night. She checked her paper and said, “Oh, ok.” We had the do not disturb sign up, too. The front desk said they’d speak to the housekeeper and supervisor, and the desk clerk agreed staff aren’t supposed to just walk in.

The rooms were very clean, and the price for Valentines Weekend was reasonable. I also love the fragrance they use in the hallways. Customer service was hit or miss, though. Some people really wowed me, while others seemed like they were just there for a paycheck. I won some money, too. Check Osage out, it’s worth it.

We came from Norman, Oklahoma, for a concert and stayed at River Spirit Casino, where the room was awful and staff weren’t very nice. They had no more rooms, so we came here for another night. My son, his fiancée, and I had to leave the other hotel at 11, but check-in here wasn’t until 4. We figured we’d spend money at your casino. My son likes to gamble and had money, but we weren’t ready to spend more right then. We ate and tipped, and he and his fiancée went to gamble while I waited in the lobby. I’d been up late at the concert and didn’t feel like going to the casino yet. I put in my earbuds to listen to my Morbid Podcast, found a corner of the couch, and kept my back up as requested. I closed my eyes while listening to listener tales and got kicked out, accused of sleeping because I couldn’t hear them through the noise-cancelling earbuds. Check-in was less than two hours away. Security was rude and told me to sit up straight with my eyes open. I’m a heavy metal goth chick, wearing my NIN shirt from the show and fishnets, so I’m used to people stereotyping me. I don’t worship Satan. I’ve had a good job in home health for 20 years and helped countless people and nurses. I won’t stay here in Tulsa again, and we won’t spend the money at your casino or eat or tip there as planned. We’ll drive to another casino to do that, then come back to sleep here. Why couldn’t I wait comfortably with my eyes closed and listen to my podcast? The lobby wasn’t busy or bustling, and I wasn’t in anyone’s way. It was 1:30pm, and this place has been a huge disappointment. My dad is a retired police officer working at a casino, and he said he would have let me be if I were a customer. Do better. Kindness is hard to find, and it should matter more than how your quiet lobby looks.

I’m switching to Creek or Cherokee casinos. Osage machines are the tightest of the three big tribes around Tulsa. I don’t expect to win, but I want to enjoy playing for a few hours. It’s hard to find a machine that doesn’t eat a twenty in a couple of minutes, so at least I can go out and have fun elsewhere.
