The Mexican restaurant was the best part of our stay. The room, though, looked nothing like the clean, modern one shown online. We had booked a double queen months ahead, but got a single queen with a rollaway bed instead. The furniture was old, and the microwave was so dated it didn't rotate. Even the shower floor flexed underfoot. The so-called business center was just a bare old table where a computer and printer had once been. It felt like expecting the Big Mac in a TV ad and getting the real thing. I'd stay somewhere else.

Tyler at the front desk really made this stay for me. He worked hard, was so friendly, and went out of his way to make sure we had a good experience. I don't think I would've enjoyed the inn nearly as much without his care. It's a pretty solid place to stay when you're headed to Joshua Tree, and I'd definitely come back. Thanks, Tyler!
The room seemed fairly clean, but the booking left me feeling misled. I clicked “book now” on the Oasis Inn and Suites website and thought that's where I was reserving, but on arrival they sent me next door to the Starlight hotel, which they'd apparently acquired. It felt more like a Motel 6. There's no breakfast or pool at Starlight, and guests there can't use the Oasis pool. We were also given just one towel per person, even for a multi-day stay. Check carefully where your reservation is actually placing you.
I can't speak to the hotel itself since I never stayed there. I booked through Booking.com without free cancellation, then got stuck in Qatar because of the current political situation and asked to cancel. Oasis Inn approved a free cancellation. They did a decent thing for someone in a difficult spot, and I appreciate that.
We had a comfortable king suite for our one night near Joshua Tree. The king bed and fold-out sofa were both comfortable, and there was a little kitchenette with a sink, fridge, and microwave. We knew there wouldn't be breakfast. The location was handy, right by a Dollar Tree with first-aid supplies. Big thanks to the front desk guy on the Dec 26 night shift. When we had a minor injury, he quickly brought first-aid gauze and pads and suggested medical options nearby. He was a star.
