Cobblestone Hotel & Suites - Two Rivers

We stay here often and always leave happy. The hot breakfast has a good range of choices, and the location is handy for downtown restaurants and taverns. Our room is clean and comfortable, the staff are warm and helpful, and the beds are comfy. We also love the lake view and those beautiful sunrises.

Two Rivers has that quiet, small-town Wisconsin feel, and Cobblestone Hotel & Suites is right by Lake Michigan. From the room you can almost feel the lake air. My room was spotless, the bed was soft, and having a microwave and fridge was handy. Breakfast is included, so the regular rate felt like a great deal. I can’t speak to the higher prices around Bears/Packers games, but at the usual price it’s an affordable, comfortable base for the lakefront and town. I’d recommend it. The Mariners Trail is nearby if you’d rather bring hiking shoes than a foam finger, and Two Rivers claims to be the birthplace of the ice cream sundae, so I’d save room to try one at the Historic Washington House.

The first room we were assigned had a do not disturb sign on the door and hadn’t been made up. The clerk came in with us, saw the problem, and found us a similar room. He was nice about it. My bigger issue was being charged $8 for two bottles of water that weren’t in the room when we arrived. The charge appeared on my card after checkout. It should have been easy to refund, but after several calls, the manager never called back. The staff said they couldn’t issue a refund. There’s also a charge for the in-room safe added automatically to the rate, and guests have to ask to have it removed at checkout. That kind of nickel-and-diming puts me off returning. My one-star rating is mainly because management wouldn’t return repeated calls over a small billing problem.

Sunday breakfast was a treat: we had mimosas, eggs, sausage, fried potatoes, and waffles we could make ourselves with blueberry topping. The room and common areas were very clean, and the staff were friendly. Even with lots of other guests around, our room stayed so quiet. Highly recommend!
