The owners care a lot about the property and keep it shipshape, with an efficient cleaning crew and clean rooms that have carpets and phones. It’s my happy place, and the price is great. Breakfast is free, and there’s a pool and little garden area. Right next door is a very nice pizza place with an arcade for kids. The Windmill cafe is about two blocks away, with great food and kind service. A quick mart one block away has new gas pumps, a good beer selection, and the kindest owner.

The room was comfortable, the heater worked, and breakfast was available. I can’t think of much else to improve, except maybe offering allergen-free choices with the usual breakfast items, like non-dairy milk or yogurt.

The room was super clean, and the grounds were well kept. Ice and vending machines worked properly, and the price felt well worth it. The free breakfast was simple: juices, toast, oatmeal packets, waffles, apples, and a few other items. It’s fine if you want something quick before heading out. For a full breakfast, you’d need to spend $10-15 at one of the restaurants in town. It was a pleasant stay, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a clean place. As I was leaving, the manager was sweeping the parking lot and asked how my stay had been. I said it was great, and he thanked me.

I’d be wary of staying here because of how the clerk/owner handled my deposit. I booked on Airbnb and listed three guests and one ESA animal. At check-in, the clerk collected the required $100 fee but hadn’t reviewed the reservation properly or charged any pet-related fee. Afterward, the hotel kept my deposit, claiming I hadn’t declared my dog even though it was clearly listed on the reservation. When I called to dispute it, the clerk repeated that they were keeping the money for that reason. Charging fees for ESA animals is illegal. Fortunately, Airbnb stepped in and refunded me.
