Embassy Suites by Hilton Akron Canton Airport

This hotel could use updating, but it was clean and adequate. The breakfast was top of the line, and what really sets the place apart is the staff. The bartender was phenomenal, friendly and helpful, and the reception desk staff were very friendly too. They’re lucky to have such quality people working here. Staff make a difference in where I choose to stay. I’ve been to beautiful hotels in extraordinary locations where the staff wrecked the experience. I’d definitely stay here again.

We were in town for a wedding in Canton and stayed here because the wedding party was at the Embassy Suites. The staff were so friendly, and when we checked in they treated us like family. We were wearing Michigan clothes and thought we might get grief, but instead we got a “Go Blue!” Keith took great care of us at the bar and made a wonderful Old Fashioned. Breakfast had a nice spread with made to order omelettes. The only issue was that the pool wasn’t very warm and there was no hot tub. Thanks for a great stay.

The rooms were clean, the parking lot big enough, and breakfast was good. Try the spinach and cheese omelette if you can, it’s best when made fresh. Most of all, thanks to Lexi for handling a tough situation so well. I arrived at night, realized my room had been cancelled days earlier, and needed a fallback on short notice. The service was perfect, with help even that late.

The rooms were average for the price, with a nice walk in shower and restroom. I booked a 2 bedroom suite, though I don’t know whether the mistake was on booking.com’s side or the Embassy’s. At check-in I got a one bedroom suite with a pullout couch in the TV room instead. The front desk worker had a bit of an attitude and showed no care. I was frustrated, though I understand it may or may not have been the hotel’s fault. If you book here, get confirmation that you’re actually getting two bedrooms and not one bedroom with a pullout couch. I’d avoid it unless desperate.
