Farah at the front desk made our stay especially easy. She combined our two separate reservations so I could keep the same room, then graciously arranged a very late checkout until 5:00 PM when traffic and a cross-town meeting delayed my return. Her professionalism, flexibility, and genuine care made a great visit even better. I was there for two nights to visit family, and the Courtyard by Marriott Detroit - Utica had recently been renovated. The rooms and common spaces looked modern, fresh, and very well maintained. My room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The amenities were excellent, including Starbucks coffee on-site. The location was convenient for local attractions, restaurants, and shopping, in a safe neighborhood. I couldn't have been more pleased, and will definitely stay again on future trips.

I really enjoyed my stay. The balcony was lovely, and the spot felt peaceful, tucked into a court beside another hotel. There are lots of shops and places to eat nearby. Nice atmosphere, and I'd recommend it, especially for the room rates.

The room at Courtyard by Marriott in Detroit Utica seemed recently remodeled, smelled clean, and had a perfect temperature and bed. Booking was easy and check-in went smoothly. They even gave me a free water after my drive, which I appreciated. I was in the area on business at a company's recommendation, and the stay was convenient and comfortable. I'd definitely return.

The lobby was clean and presentable, and the front desk attendant was friendly and helpful. I appreciated that, but the room was a completely different experience. The sheets, pillows, and chair had noticeable stains. The shower floor was peeling and rusty, and there was visible mold on the bathroom ceiling. The room felt unclean and poorly maintained. I was there overnight for business, and it was too late to find somewhere else. I reported the problems to staff, but this property needs serious maintenance and updates. Based on this stay, I wouldn't come back.

Taja and Markwon were the nicest people we've met at a hockey tournament, and they welcomed us so warmly. We really appreciated their courtesy and professionalism. We'll book this hotel every time we come up here.
