The Galatyn Lodge

If your kids are in ski school, the location is an 11/10. What really stuck with me, though, was how immaculate The Galatyn was. It's probably the only hotel where I'd feel comfortable letting my baby crawl on the floor. Every detail seemed clean and carefully looked after. The front desk staff were so welcoming that by the time we left, they felt more like old friends than hotel staff. A wonderful stay.

We've been Vail regulars for over 30 years, and we're definitely coming back to Gatalyn Lodge. It's a hidden gem in downtown Vail, and it's family-friendly, even for your Golden Retriever. The accommodations are beautiful, spacious, updated, and top-notch, with a well-stocked Chef’s Kitchen. After skiing, the pool is heated to hot-tub temperature, so we gave up on the tiny, crowded hotel hot tub. Robes and towels were cozy, the staff were attentive and wonderful, and we had daily access to Gravity Haus Dryland Fitness.

Josh Tenner made our stay at The Galatyn Lodge easy, arranging early check-in and late check-out around our travel schedule. His restaurant suggestions were spot on, and his dog trail information was useful for Ms Maggie Mae. She was also glad to have a refrigerator brought to the room for her food. My brother appreciated the Gore Creek fishing tips, and we all loved the heated outdoor pool and the lovely bedrooms and bathrooms. The guest umbrellas saved me from getting soaked. Many thanks to Josh, the wonderful manager. My brother, sister-in-law, and I had a perfectly perfect stay and can't wait to return.

The front desk team was friendly and gave us ideas for places to visit. We chatted with them each of the five days we stayed in February, and it felt like being back home. The lodge was clean and well kept from the entrance through to our room, where a humidifier was already set up for us. We didn't get time to use the pool, though the area looked great. The location is convenient for walking to ski slopes and restaurants, and there's a bus stop right outside with free rides around town. My wife and I highly recommend Galatyn Lodge in Vail, Colorado.
