That little building with a few slot machines and the recliner in our room were both things we enjoyed. The room was clean and nice, and the low bed made it easy for someone older and shorter like me to get in. Breakfast was pretty limited, just cereal, cheese omelets in a cooler, a few honeybuns, and yogurt. We also bought several chocolate bars from the vending machine, but they were so old they crumbled. When we told the man at the desk, he said the vending people hadn't been there in over 15 days.

For $85 plus tax in mid-May, with a $15 pet fee, this was a pleasant surprise. It's an older, no-frills motel, but room #20 was clean and the bed was comfy. I stayed one night, had a hot shower, plenty of TV channels, and slept well. I'd stay here again.

We had the corner room, and it was huge. The rooms were quiet, too, with very little sound coming through between them. The front desk staff were wonderful to work with. I didn't get a chance to eat breakfast because we had to get on the road, though the menu looked good for a motel breakfast and included an omelet. For this price, it's the cleanest and best maintained place I've stayed in for years. There wasn't a speck of dirt on the floor.

The sink faucet was the one drawback, since you couldn't turn it on very much. The shower worked fine, though. The motel is just off the highway but far enough back that we didn't hear traffic. Our king bed was very comfortable, the TV had lots of channels, and it was nice having a recliner, dorm-size refrigerator, and small microwave in the room.
