Budget Inn Valparaiso Niceville EglinAFB

If you need to stretch a dollar, Budget Inn is a GREAT option. The rooms at this Budget Inn in Niceville are cozy and have what you need to get the day or evening started. The front desk staff were helpful with my reservation request and seemed to care about guests.

It's clear they're trying to remodel, but the bugs were a real problem. Cockroaches ran from the nightstand when my daughter opened it. The AC was off, so the room took a while to cool down, and the pillows were tiny. The TV was small and sounded bad. The front office isn't open around the clock.

The room was spacious and had everything I needed for both work and downtime. The owner and staff were extremely friendly and courteous, and the location was great. The rate compared very well with other places nearby, and they offered me an upgrade for a small extra charge. It may not suit people wanting lots of amenities, but I'd recommend it to anyone after a fairly priced hotel in a fantastic location.

The manager was rude and unprofessional when we raised our concerns. He claimed I might have peed the bed, even though the mark was a dry stain, and insisted there was no smell in the restroom, calling us nitpicky. The restroom smelled of urine, the bed and towels had stains, and the floors were dirty. I'd give zero stars if I could. Stay far away.
