Comfort Inn & Suites Vancouver Downtown City Center

Breakfast had eggs and sausage, plus waffles you could make yourself. We got there around 10pm on Friday and still found plenty of parking. Check in was quick and friendly, and our room was spacious. The AC worked perfectly, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. My only gripes: the shower’s wall mounted conditioner bottle was empty, and there were a couple of sticky patches on the floor.

Ariel and the staff were very accommodating, the service from Ariel was five star, and breakfast was great. I asked about checking in early, but they couldn’t do it, which I understand. The room itself was dated, noisy, and had an uncomfortable bed. The door didn’t feel secure enough, and I didn’t feel safe or rested during my stay. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to a woman traveling alone.

Audra at the front desk deserves a mention. She was warm and professional while checking me in, and gave me some of the best service I’ve had from a non-luxury hotel chain. While helping me, she also sorted out another guest’s TV issue to their satisfaction. I don’t know how long she’s worked there, but she seems very experienced at making guests’ stays as good as possible. I’ll recommend this location to people visiting town, and expect they’ll get the same great service from Audra. I booked a staycation based on past stays at other Comfort Suites. The rate was great, the hotel looked clean and well run, the bed was comfortable, and I had no problems with my room.

We chose this as a budget friendly place for an event at the convention center, since we didn’t want to pay the higher rates there. Free parking was a plus, and the included breakfast had eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit, yogurt, muffins, bagels, tea, and coffee. The rooms seemed clean and the beds were comfortable. If we come back to Vancouver, this will be our first choice.
