Riverside Motel

The room was just okay and not very clean. There were cobwebs in a ceiling corner, and the bathroom faucet wasn’t secured. One night was enough for me. Check-in felt outdated too, since I had to fill out a card. I won’t stay there again.

We left and paid for another hotel, though we did get a refund. I’m highly allergic to cigarette smoke, and in that room I got to the point where I couldn’t breathe. Do not stay here. We’d booked a jacuzzi room for the weekend starting 5.30, expecting something nice based on the pictures. It wasn’t a “riverside” motel at all, but right by the train track and freeway in a sketchy area. When we arrived, they didn’t ask whether we had a reservation, just snapped, “We are full.” The room was supposed to be non-smoking, but opening the door hit us with cigarette smell. There was no extra lock on the door. The AC unit was dirty, the curtains were thin, and the chair by the bed had stains I don’t even want to think about. The linens were thin too. The jacuzzi tub’s floor was cracked and dirty, with rust on the sides and strange mirrors above it. There were a few small holes in the wall behind the bed, the shower looked dirty, and the bathroom tiles were coming up.

Small room, little kitchenette, and a crappy bathroom. I felt like we might get murdered in our sleep, lol.

The room was undeniably clean, but traffic noise came right into it. Earplugs would’ve helped. Whether the price matches the quality is up to you. It’s handy for a short trip to nearby Portland, OR.
