The Inn at Salmon Creek

The management is very kind, and I still appreciate the comfort and atmosphere here. The double room setup is pretty cool, with nice decor and newer materials. The flooring needs some work, though, and it needs a really thorough cleaning. On my last stay, the carpet hadn't been vacuumed.

We came here because our children were sick, but couldn't even bring them into the first room. It had beer cans and garbage inside. They moved us to another room, where there was blood on the door, walls, and toilet seat. I spent 20 minutes scrubbing the bathtub before I noticed the blood, then we left. We cleaned before going, though I didn't finish. I left Ajax in the tub and the toilet brush beside the toilet because the place was so foul I didn't want to take the cleaning supplies we'd just used back with us. I almost called the police. The manager or clerk was completely rude and told my caseworker we'd stayed all night, which was untrue. I've never been so disgusted by an establishment in my 32 years.

Our room was ready even though we arrived before check-in time, but I was charged an extra $50 despite having paid for the room in full. I was told it would be refunded after cleaning. The room smelled of mildew, and I found five spiders. When I asked how often the place was deep-cleaned, she said daily. I asked how there could be so many spiders, and she said they come out after cleaning and it's out of her control. Instead of returning $50, she said she'd refund $75. I'd paid $154 and change for the room.

My daughter and I left within minutes of arriving and found somewhere else to stay. The room was dark even though it was light outside, and it had a very sour smell. After about five minutes, we both had fleas on us, and there was another insect on the bed that wasn't a flea. I wouldn't recommend staying there. Don't waste your time or money.
