Days Inn by Wyndham Vega TX

The location worked perfectly when a storm was rolling through and closing roads in the area. The rooms were a welcome sight, and the service was friendly. Breakfast was good, though the morning coffee wasn’t. It didn’t sit well with my stomach, and I wondered if it might be old.

Don’t stay here. I don’t think it’s a good place, and I wouldn’t want my brand name on it if I were Days Inn or Wyndham. They should send someone to reevaluate the property. Check the reviews on the Days Inn website, and don’t trust the five-star ratings. I truly believe management or their friends made them up.

We were so tired after driving all day that we got to room 104 and basically crashed for the night. In the morning, we couldn’t shower before getting back on the road because there was no diverter to switch the water to the shower. I understand that things happen, but they didn’t offer a discount or any kind of compensation.

We left without a refund because our health mattered more to us than the money. The desk clerk wouldn’t refund us when I asked, saying it was corporate policy. I can’t believe this is a Wyndham property. We’d been staying at Wyndham properties for the last three weeks, and they were all immaculate. Come on, Wyndham, you can do better. As soon as we walked in, there was a musty, moldy smell. Within ten minutes in the room, the mold smell had given us headaches. When I opened the window, I found black mold on the wall. We went to the desk after fifteen minutes to ask for our money back.
