Sage Motel

Christy and Orlanda made a difficult situation a little easier. I had to spend three nights at The Sage Motel in Vernal because of unforeseen circumstances, and although a couple of people told me not to stay there, I don’t know why. The room was very clean and comfortable, and I love, love, love the bed. I slept through every night, which is unusual for me. I felt very safe, and maybe that helped me sleep. I had health issues, mostly a broken humerus in my left arm, but I’m not saying I received special treatment. If I did, thank you, and if I didn’t, thank you too. They were kind, caring, compassionate, and so helpful. I hope I’ve spelled your names correctly, Christy and Orlanda. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others. If anyone has had an issue with The Sage, give them another try. I’d be surprised if Christy and Orlanda didn’t handle it properly and professionally, with a smile.

We got a great bargain for the price. The motel was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Each bed had four or five pillows, with a mix of softness. Breakfast was a decent little continental spread, not a huge selection but several good options: waffles, fruit, cereal, milk, good juice, toast and jam, cold hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, and probably a couple more things. The waffle maker could use a measuring cup and clearer instructions to use the non-stick spray. People keep missing the tiny directions and making a mess.

I was there for an event, and the location and price were what mattered most to me. It’s right in central Vernal, Utah, just minutes from anywhere in town. The building is older, but the rooms have been updated and everything worked fine. Breakfast was the one downside, as there wasn’t much.

The staff were incredibly generous and helped us sort out a booking issue. The Sage Motel is in the heart of Vernal, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and a bowling alley. It’s not the fanciest place, but it was an excellent budget stay while we were visiting the area.
