Howard Johnson by Wyndham Vero Beach/I-95

I left in under 10 minutes, and the front desk man still refused to refund my money. He was incredibly rude and couldn't even get the television working. The room smelled awful, though I couldn't tell what the smell was. I'm glad I took the financial hit and left anyway. I found a hotel with a clean shower head, courteous staff, and no stink. If being treated rudely where you spend your money sounds good, this is the place for you. Don't go here, you'll regret it.

The location made getting around Vero Beach easy even without a car. Route 13 stops right outside and goes to Indian River Mall, where I could transfer to Route 2 for Delta Flight School or the airport, and Route 1 for the beaches and Sexton Plaza. Dunkin’ is a 1-minute walk away, and Wawa and the TA Travel Center are close too. For someone working security shifts, the comfortable beds and accommodating staff made daytime rest easier, and the on-site washer and dryer are handy for longer stays. Breakfast is very basic, so don't expect much. Better to eat somewhere else.

The bed was the only part of the hotel that seemed clean. The shower head was so nasty I skipped showering, and the carpet had paint on it from the walls being painted. Nothing was cleaned well, and the whole place smelled moldy. You definitely get what you pay for here, trust me.

I work security shifts and get good rest here during the day. The beds are comfortable, there's a washer and dryer on site, and the front desk staff are always helpful and accommodating. This hotel is definitely made for the working man. Staying here is always a pleasure.
