Candlewood Suites VICTORIA by IHG

The location was such a plus: Starbucks, Olive Garden, and my bank were all in the same lot, with the mall just down the street. Inside, our room was spotless and really comfortable, almost like a little apartment 😂 Everyone was incredibly friendly, too. Best hotel ever, 10/10, I'll be back.

I travel for work and stay in hotels across a lot of cities and states, and this one has been the best by far. Rose is the sweetest person I've met in all my 45 years. Hold onto her, people with a personality like that are rare.

The bed was comfortable, according to my spouse, and we liked the suite's sitting area. We choose this chain because it offers recliners, but this one kept tipping forward when I tried to lean all the way back. I sleep in a recliner because of back problems, so I didn't rest very comfortably. The other sitting furniture was quite hard, too. Our room was clean, though it smelled a little musty. The towels were damp, so we hung them over chairs to dry for the morning. There were two microwaves, one on the counter and one above the stove, and the one mounted above the stove didn't work and should have been removed. We also had to go down to the main floor for ice since there wasn't a machine on our floor. TVs were very loud in some rooms past 11 p.m. They should limit the noise after 10 so nearby guests aren't disturbed.

Living on the road has been comfortable and easy at Candlewood suites Victoria Texas, it really feels like my home away from home. Aireal at the front desk went out of her way to help me sort out work paperwork during my extended stay. Thanks, Ariel, for making everything so easy and comfortable.
