We paid under $75 a night, and the place gave us what we needed: a comfortable bed, a working bathroom, a microwave and mini fridge, plus a warm pool. The coffee was good, the ice machine worked, and the staff even let us bring our bikes into the room, with a wash hose outside. We could play cards in the lobby until quiet time, and there’s a gaming area and beer for sale on site. The motel is clean and the people are friendly. It’s right by Interstate 24, and the city’s bike path runs from Motel 7 to the Tunnel Hill State Trail, about seven tenths of a mile. Mc Donalds, Subway, DQ and a good Mexican restaurant are along the way. We had breakfast at Vienna Diner. The motel breakfast is pretty basic, but it’ll do if you’re too broke for Vienna Diner. They’re working on the parking lot and making other repairs, too. It’s no 5.0 property, but a 4.0 rating seems fair to me. This place is way underrated for the price.

After a long drive, the staff made me feel welcome right away. I arrived while they were bringing in breakfast supplies, and even on a rainy day they were all smiles and cheerful. The rooms were squeaky clean, and the location was handy for a road trip. Thanks, folks!

A comfortable, pet-friendly place to stop when you’re worn out from the road. I’m glad breakfast and Wi-Fi are free, and I’ll keep it in mind as a good spot to rest next time.

I was surprised those old metal spring mattresses were still around, but this place has them. I can’t say I felt good about sleeping there. In the first room, the handle was broken so the keys wouldn’t work, and the TV was unwatchable. Just don’t do it.

It got us through the night and out of the weather, which gave us a little time to recover. The staff were friendly and helpful, too. The beds were stiff, and the toilet is oddly right against the wall. There’s plenty left to be desired, but it worked as a place to crash.
