Quality Inn Vincennes

Outside, the grounds were neglected, and there were holes in the walls where A/C lines had been moved. Smoking areas were placed right outside the rooms, so smoke blew in if you had the A/C on. The pool was in such disrepair that you could smell it through the building. The refrigerator didn't work, and when I went to discuss the problems in the morning, nobody showed up at the front desk. It seems they only ever have one person working. Inside, the bathroom was dirty. The paint had gone over dirt, and there was new dirt on top of it. Cold water barely worked, so shower at your own risk, and you may need old towels to dry off. The mattress was old and lumpy. I saw no signs of bed bugs, but there were several other kinds of dead bugs on the walls. Simply put, this is the worst hotel we've experienced in many years.

The site said pets were allowed, but when I arrived, he told me no cats, even though the website doesn't say that. He let me in anyway. There were stains everywhere, and I didn't even try the shower. The breakfast was bad; honestly, everything was bad. I booked two nights but am leaving early. Zero stars if I could.

The place was unimaginably filthy and felt unsafe. It was a horrible experience. I reported it to Choice Hotels, but they don't seem to care. They opened a case but offered no resolution. Their only option was for me to take 10,000 points in exchange for closing the case. The Choice Hotels website has plenty of reviews as horrible as mine, with many complaints, yet neither the hotel management nor the Choice Hotels brand has done anything and they just turn a blind eye. Their system won't let people post more reviews. Be aware, this is a total ripoff. Check the attached pictures yourself.

The bed was clean and comfortable, there were plenty of pillows, and we slept really well. The fridge and microwave worked well, the shower head was good, and the front desk guy was nice. The bathtub was in rough shape. For a cheap place to sleep and clean up, the price was very good. This was our first stay. We booked because the rate was good, the pictures looked amazing, and the breakfast area and pool looked inviting. In reality, the pictures were misleading. Maybe it looked that way once, but now it's run down and seems uncared for, despite the potential to be a beautiful hotel. Spraying the weeds, painting, and cleaning would go a long way. The pool was off with a renovation sign, but we saw no work being done, and the area must have been beautiful at one time. Breakfast was waffles, two kinds of cereal, and white and wheat toast. The fruit was old, spotted bananas, and the trash by the breakfast bar was overflowing and hadn't been cleaned in a long time.
