Holly Motel Southampton

The beds are comfortable, and the place feels peaceful and safe. The rooms are always really clean, and you get a fridge, microwave, small table, and full bathroom. It's an older style motel, sure, but add a few personal touches and it can feel like home. The price is right, and you're treated with respect as long as you respect the man's property and rules. The manager is kind and clearly takes pride in the motel. He works hard and does everything there to keep the property looking nice and professional. No drama or trouble while we're there. We really enjoy staying here, and he's welcoming even when we arrive a little late at night. The Holly motel gets all pluses from me, an A+++! Highly recommend it.

The room was a decent size, with a small fridge, microwave, and a desk with a mirror behind it. I used the mirror to do my makeup while my boyfriend showered. We were there for 2 days and didn't need housekeeping, so I only saw staff at check-in and check-out and barely interacted with them. We paid about $90 a night, so I can't complain too much for the price, but there were cigarette burns in the bed linen. The bathroom ceiling paint looked like it was peeling, or maybe there had been a leak that was painted over. The back of the bathtub had cracks, though I wasn't planning to take a bath. There was no overhead light, which seemed odd. We only had lamps for lighting.

The place was clean, apart from some spills or stains on the carpet, but the pillows were flat, too small for the bed, and uncomfortable. Bring your own pillow! It cost about $90 a night, which felt a little expensive. Check-in was at 11 pm and check-out at 11 am. Thanks, "Holly Hotel," for the stay!

The shower was hot and had good pressure, and the lights and fridge worked. The room was basic, but warm and clean. My girlfriend and I spent 2 nights here after a power surge ruined our furnace during the blizzard of January 2022. We got there at 2am and they accommodated us right away. Better than we expected.
