Days Inn by Wyndham Vineland

The photos online really don’t match the rooms. We were in town for an event at the NJ motor sports track, and my fiancée and I had a miserable stay. The sheets had stains, so we slept on top of them, and the beds were so hard they felt like the floor. Noise from nearby rooms kept us awake, then around 6 a.m. there was another commotion next door. As we left, police were outside trying to arrest the woman in that room. Just a disaster.

We paid close to $500 for two nights and found roaches in the room on day two. The front desk said we’d need to talk to the manager. After avoiding our calls, he eventually looked at the room and offered 3000 days in points, while emailing that there were no signs of roaches. The photos and videos say otherwise. The reception area was filthy, check-in was slow, and the supposedly renovated room had laminate laid over a deteriorated floor with soft spots. We should’ve canceled when we first pulled up. Bad rooms, bad service, and a manager who wouldn’t even try a partial refund. Stay somewhere else.

The place was clean and communication was easy, so things went smoothly at first. Then came breakfast, which was included in our booking. There wasn’t a breakfast service, just coffee and a glass bowl of apples. I’d counted on a meal before the long drive home with a small child. Had to change my rating from five stars to three. Basically, breakfast means an apple and coffee.

I’ve had good stays here every time, and it’s my favorite hotel in Cumberland County. The rooms are comfy and clean, and I feel safe there at night. The staff are the big reason I like it so much, always friendly and helpful, and they work hard to keep the atmosphere positive. Even the deposit gets released really quickly. I’d recommend it to anyone needing a place around here.
