Lamberts Cove Inn

We spent three nights at Lambert's Cove Inn for a wedding, and it was a fantastic venue. The grounds looked gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the staff were as helpful as could be. Top notch.

Our room, Allen Farm, felt like home, with a fridge and a very comfortable bed. The private beach is beautiful and only minutes away. We came back to Lambert’s Cove Inn for a second visit, two years after our first, and it was just as magical. Bridget and Galen have become friends of ours. They think through the details so guests feel welcome, pampered, and able to relax. We left our worries behind. Chef Galen's food has amazing, unexpected flavor combinations, and the chowder is a must. I had the scallops twice and enjoyed them just as much the second time. Meredith, Emerson, Lauren, Silas, Own, Finn, and the rest of the staff were professional, fun, and ready to help with whatever we needed. We'll be back next year for sure.

The meal was amazing from start to finish. My steak was delicious, and my partner's short rib was so tender. The desserts were every bit as good as the entrees. Linda went out of her way to make sure we were happy, and it clearly mattered to her. Hurley, our server, was attentive and accommodating. We had a great experience.

The rooms and grounds were lovely, and the location was great. But breakfast felt very weak for what we paid, and the downstairs rooms were too cold to sit in. Dinner at the Woods restaurant at the Inn was the bigger problem. We were told Inn guests had to order the very expensive prefix menu. After we complained, we were overcharged on the a la carte menu. There was no notice on the Inn website, and nobody told us at check-in or beforehand. I understand the restaurant is an independent company, but the Inn handled this poorly. It's a bad way to treat guests who are already paying hundreds of dollars a night.
