Beach Carousel Motel

We had such a good time here, my wife and I have found our new vacation place. The rooms have been renovated, the beds are comfortable, and the sheets were clean and smelled fresh. They even provide soap, shampoo, and conditioner if you forget yours. The pool was clear and clean each morning. I saw the owner outside blowing debris off the walkway and cleaning things up. The staff were incredible and as accommodating as they could be. It may have been different in the past, but it’s under new management now, so the older negative reviews don’t reflect the place we stayed. Thanks again!

The location and pool were the best parts. The staff tried to help, and the bathroom was clean, but the rest of the room was in awful shape. There were roaches, the sofa bed was nasty, and there were electrical hazards. The carpet was sticky and hadn’t been vacuumed, and the room smelled so bad we tried using car air freshener. The stove was greasy, only two burners worked, and the exhaust fan was dead. The doors wouldn’t lock, the TV only got two channels, and one was in Spanish. The room didn’t look like the one on the booking site. I know it’s a motel and you can’t expect everything for the price, but a clean room without a bad smell isn’t too much to ask. If I’d booked more than one night, I would’ve cancelled and asked for a refund. Just gross, a true roach motel.

Room 204 worked out really well for us last week. We wanted a little beach bungalow feel instead of a traditional hotel, and that’s what we got. There was enough room for all five of us, it was clean, and the beds were comfy. The beach is just one block away, maybe a 2-3 minute walk, and the pool was great. The staff were super friendly too. It was rainy that day, so one of the guys kept the pool open an extra hour for us, which was awesome. We’re very happy with the stay and will definitely come back.

The proprietors and staff I met were pleasant and accommodating, and DoorDash deliveries arrived without any trouble. I spent three nights here, close to the beach, and found the room very comfortable. There aren’t room AC controls, so you have to call the desk if you want the temperature changed. I didn’t mind that much at the beach. I was there in late March and asked for a blanket on the second night, which they gladly brought. The TV setup could be improved: only about half the listed channels worked, there was no Guide channel, and channel surfing meant hitting commercials at every stop.
